Cross Cut Saw Series

The Cross Cut Series Saws were developed to safely and effectively cross cut wood, wood products, composites and plastics.  This series differentiates itself from other machines because the blade is visible only when the handle is pulled or the machine’s semi-automatic cycle is activated. The cutting is done safely inside a cutting box where the sawdust is pulled back into the machine and removed through the dust port on the back side of the frame.

Manual Cross Cut Saw
Our manual machines feature an 18 ½” cross cut with a manual pull handle that pulls the carriage ahead radially through the material.

Semi-Automatic Cross Cut Saw
The semi-automatic machine uses a smooth running belt-drive system that controls the cutting head by the push of a button.

Original Saw Made Motors

All Cross Cut Series motors are manufactured in our Northern Iowa facility. Producing our own motors allows us to uphold a high level of quality in our machines.

Totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motors are manufactured with cooling ducts that move air through the motor laminations to keep them cool while keeping the internal portion of the motor sealed from dust and contamination.

Both the manual and semi-automatic Cross Cut saws feature a variable frequency drive (VFD).  The VFD eliminates the mechanical brake and prolongs the life of the motor by reducing the start up amps.

Frame Construction

Construction of these machines consist of a heavy-gauge steel frame that is powder coated for a lasting finish. The frame houses the beam and carriage assembly, which rides on precision linear guides. This assembly creates a rigid, accurate moving carriage that will produce smooth cuts for the life of the machine.

Carriage Control

The Cross Cut Series includes two carriage control options.  The Manual (.M) models utilize a simple pull handle on the right side of the machine that pulls the carriage ahead radially through the material.  The Semi-Automatic models have push bottom operation.  The material is clamped manually or pneumatically and the cutting head moves through the material after the button is pushed.

Safety

A Lexan polycarbonate covered cutting area provides cutting safety.  This large viewing area keeps the operator safe from debris and away from the saw blade.  The blade is only visible when the handle is pulled on the manual machine or the semi-automatic cycle is activated.
